This policy outlines how to communicate with Beau Luxe Medical Wellness and what to expect regarding response times, appointments, prescription requests, after-hours messages, and urgent medical concerns.

Appointments & Office Visits

Beau Luxe Medical Wellness is an appointment-based practice and is NOT a walk-in clinic. Same-day or next-day appointments may be available when scheduling permits.

Phone &Text Communication

Phone and text messages are monitored during regular business hours. Text is preferred. We make every effort to respond by the end of business day; however, messages received later in the day or those requiring clinical review may be answered the following business day.

Please do not send repeated messages, as this may delay our ability to respond efficiently.

If you have not received a response in 24 hours, please reach out.

After-Hours & Urgent Medical Concerns

Messages received outside of regular business hours will generally be addressed the next business day. Direct Care Membership does not provide 24-hour or emergency medical coverage.

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. Do not use text messaging, voicemail, or email for emergencies.

Prescription Refills & Medication Requests

Please allow up to 2 business days for routine prescription refill requests. Refills are reviewed based on your current treatment plan, appropriate follow-up, and any required lab monitoring. Some medications may require an office or telehealth visit before a refill can be authorized.

Please request refills before you are completely out of medication. Prescription refill requests received after hours, on weekends, or on holidays will generally be addressed the next business day.

Lab Results & Clinical Questions

Lab results are reviewed by the provider before recommendations are made. Patients are contacted regarding results. Please allow appropriate time for results to be received and reviewed.

Questions that require extensive review of lab results, a new diagnosis, or medication changes may require an office or telehealth visit rather than being addressed by text or phone.

If you have not heard from anyone regarding lab results in 7 days, please reach out.

Member vs. Non-Member Communication

Direct Care Members receive enhanced access to the provider for routine healthcare questions and follow-up communication during regular business hours as part of their membership.

Non-members are welcome to contact the office for scheduling and general questions. Medical questions, medication questions, prescription refills, review of results, or concerns may require a paid office or telehealth visit.

Direct communication with the provider is not intended to replace an appropriate medical evaulation when needed.

Response Times

We strive to respond to patient messages as promptly as possible during regular business hours. Most routine messages will receive a response the same business day or within one business day. More complex medical questions may require additional time or an appointment.

Messages received after business hours, on weekends, or on holidays will generally be addressed on the next business day. Response times may vary based on patient volume and nature of request.

Privacy & Text Messaging

Text messaging may be used for convenient communication regarding appointments, questions, refills, and follow-up care. Patients should understand that standard text messaging may not provide the same level of privacy and security as a secure patient portal.

Please avoid sending highly sensitive personal or medical information by text unless sepcifically requested and discussed. By choosing to communicate with Beau Luxe Medical Wellness by text, patients acknowledge and accept the potential privacy limitations associated with electronic communication.

Communication Expectations

To help us provide timely and attentive care to all patients, please keep communication to regular business hours whenever possible. Messages should be concise but enough information for us to understand the reason for your message.

Some concerns cannot safely or appropriately be evaluated through text or phone. If your concern requires a physical exam, extensive medical decision-making, a new diagnosis, or changes to your treatment plan, you may be asked to schedule an office or telehealth visit.

We ask that all communication with our provider remain respectful and appropriate. Abusive, threatening, or inappropriate communication will not be tolerated.

Cancellations & Missed Appointments

We understand that schedules can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice whenever possible so that the appointment time may be offered to another patient.

Repeated late cancellations or missed appointments may result in a cancellation fee and/or limitations on future scheduling. Direct Care Membership does not waive applicable late-cancellation or no-show fees.

Patient Acknowledgement

By receiving care from Beau Luxe Medical Wellness, patients acknowledge that they understand the communication guidelines outlined above. These policies are intended to establish clear expectations, protect patient privacy, and allow our practice to provide timely and appropriate care to all patients.

This communication policy does not replace appropriate medical evaluation and does not create 24-hour provider availability. Beau Luxe Medical Wellness reserves the right to update this policy as needed.
